Linggajati (sometimes written Linggarjati , or Linggadjati in ancient script) is a village in Indonesia located in the province of West Java , 26 km from the city of Cirebon . It is located at an altitude of 400 meters, on the east flank of the volcano Ciremai .

The village is located near the forest of the same name, which has an area of ​​1,300 hectares.

In November 1946, Linggajati was the scene of negotiations between the Indonesian Republican Government and the Dutch colonial authorities , which culminated in the signing of the Linggarjati Agreement .
