Terrorism in Indonesia

The terrorism in Indonesia is predominantly developed xxi ^th century. Most of the attacks attributed to Jemaah Islamiyah , a terrorist group Islamist affiliated with al-Qaeda ¹ .

In 2000 , the Jakarta Stock Exchange bombing killed 15 people with a car bomb . The same year, a series of bombs explode on the eve in Christmas in several places of the archipelago. These attacks target the churches and kill 18 people. In 2002 , the most deadly attack in the history of the country took place. The Bali bombing killed 202 people. In 2003 , the attack on the Mariott Hotel in Jakarta left 12 dead and 150 wounded. In 2004 , the bombing of the Australian embassy in Jakarta claimed 9 lives. In 2005 , a new series of Attacks touch Bali and makes 20 dead. The July 17 , 2009, a bomb attack affects two hotels (JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton) in Jakarta and has at least 9 victims. On Thursday, January 14, 2016, a series of attacks claimed by the Islamic State (IS) in Jakarta killed seven people, near a Starbucks coffee, near embassies and UN agencies.
