These attacks target the churches and kill 18 people. In 2002 , the most deadly attack in the history of the country took place. The Bali bombing killed 202 people. In 2003 , the attack on the Mariott Hotel in Jakarta left 12 dead and 150 wounded. In 2004 , the bombing of the Australian embassy in Jakarta claimed 9 lives. In 2005 , a new series of Attacks touch Bali and makes 20 dead. The, a bomb attack affects two hotels (JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton) in Jakarta and has at least 9 victims. On Thursday, January 14, 2016, a series of attacks claimed by the Islamic State (IS) in Jakarta killed seven people, near a Starbucks coffee, near embassies and UN agencies.
